Using the Simplicity Wheelchair Lift Ramp - the Wheelchair ramp that lifts to Enter Building   (See Video)

  • Person rolls onto Lift Ramp while it is in the down position.

  • Position the wheelchair on the "loading area" of the Lift Ramp.

  • Lock the brakes of the wheelchair.  For user's safety, brakes must be locked before activating the Lift Ramp.

  • Press the pushbutton located on the control arm to raise the Lift Ramp which also raises the stop-plate.

  • When the pushbutton is initially activated, the Lift Ramp stop-plate is raised preventing the wheelchair from rolling off the end of the platform.

  • The Lift Ramp rises to the predetermined floor level for easy access to the building.  The Lift is now parallel to the floor.

  • Person unlocks the brakes of the wheelchair and rolls into the building.

  • Person actuates the remote control and returns the Lift Ramp to the down position.

  • When the Lift Ramp lowers and is fully in the down position, the Lift Ramp stop-plate will lower by gravity.

  • The Lift Ramp is ready for the next operation.  (Lift Ramp operates on a power lift "up" and gravity "down" principle.

  • Use the remote control to raise the Lift Ramp platform to up position.  Lift Ramp should be parallel to floor.

  • Person rolls onto Lift Ramp and positions wheelchair in "loading area" on platform.

  • Person locks the brakes of the wheelchair.  For user's safety, brakes must be locked before activating the Lift Ramp.

  • Person actuates Lift Ramp control pushbutton to lower Lift Ramp.

  • Lift Ramp then lowers to full down position by gravity to allow smooth exit from Lift Ramp.

  • Person unlocks wheelchair brakes and exits the Lift Ramp.

  • Person leaves Lift Ramp in full down position, ready for next operation.
